Norma Figueroa Hurwitz – Founder/Executive Director

Norma Figueroa-Hurwitz is the Founder and Executive Director of Academic Leadership Charter School. Mrs. Figueroa-Hurwitz has dedicated her life in the service of educating children.

Leena Thomas – Elementary School Principal lthomas@academicleadershipcs.org

Mrs. Leena Thomas was a founding teacher at Academic Leadership Charter School and has been the Charter School’s Principal since August 2012.

Eddie Kubina – Middle School Principal ekubina@academicleadershipcs.org

Mr. Kubina has been a member of the Charter School community since 2010. Mr. Kubina has served as the Instructional Lead at the Middle school since 2017.

Paola Coste – Assistant Principal pcoste@academicleadershipcs.org

Ms. Paola Coste has been at ALCS for the past 10 years. During her tenure here, she has demonstrated exemplary
performance in all subject areas. Ms. Coste served as a grade level leader for several years then as an Instructional Coach.
